Economic Empowerment Development (CEED) Program
CITISERVE Economic
Empowerment Development (CEED) programme is a private sector empowerment
initiative arising out of the various business support programmes for
the Network partners and the host communities. Defining its goal as
“harnessing the potential of the people and the nation state” CEED has a
mission to implement a nationwide comprehensive and co-ordinated
strategy towards providing socio-economic opportunity and direction for
host CITISERVE’s communities. The focus is on individual/community
development in the following areas: Economic, Environmental, Human
development and Community development initiatives/ social community
programmes.
Background
The Vision of CITISERVE is to be the alternative channel for the
provision of convenience services & products 24/7 - the right product at
the right price at the right time, across Nigeria.
The Value offered by CITISERVE is a superior value for consumers and
lower distribution costs for suppliers, in terms of
– Product
– Service
– Delivery
CITISERVE’s business model seeks to make convenience a way of life for
Nigerian consumers, while at the same time educating the network
partners on entrepreneurship and running their own businesses.
CITISERVE is targeting 100,000 partners nationwide situated in all local
government areas. The platform which is technology driven runs on
customized software for digital distribution. The CITISERVE network
partners each have an “Orange Box” which is a customized point of sale
terminal from which digital products are dispensed to consumers.
Currently, airtime credit for all GSM network and one PTO are available
via the Orange Box. Others are coming soon!
CITISERVE describes its business as an ecosystem of partners comprising
CITISERVE Network Partners, Operators/Suppliers, CITISERVE Partnership
Centres and Partner Banks, located pan Nigeria.
